🏌️♂️ Chap Masters Tour – St Andrews 30th April-3rd May ‘26
Eight friends. Four unforgettable days. A journey through Scotland’s most iconic courses, coastal towns, and whisky-soaked evenings. A time to savour the best golf in the world — but even more, to savour each other’s company.
Day 1 – Thursday, 30th April 2026
London to Scotland, Links and Laughter
Wheels up from Heathrow at 08:15, excitement already buzzing in the cabin.
Touchdown in Edinburgh, and before long we’re heading east to the Fife coast. Lunch awaits at The Ship Inn, Elie— waves crashing, sea air filling our lungs, pints in hand as the anticipation builds.
At 14:00, the first battle: two fourballs, Chaps vs Masters, on the links of Elie Golf Club — a quirky gem that stirs the soul with its seaside charm and blind shots that test nerve and imagination.
After the final putt drops (and a few celebratory beers flow), we travel to the spiritual home of golf: St Andrews.
Check into the Rusacks Hotel — overlooking the 18th on the Old Course, steeped in golfing lore. A toast to the days ahead, followed by dinner at one of St Andrews’ fine local restaurants.
Day 2 – Friday, 1st May 2026
Dumbarnie Links & an Evening Surprise
The sun rises over St Andrews, and we head south to the dramatic dunes of Dumbarnie Golf Links. Tee-off at 09:20 — another two fourballs, Chaps vs Masters, rivalries sharpening, laughter never far behind.
The course, young by Scottish standards, feels timeless — sweeping vistas, rolling fairways, and the sea as constant companion. It’s golf that exhilarates and humbles in equal measure.
Back to St Andrews for something special before dinner (details to be revealed in due course…).
The evening culminates at The 18 at Rusacks Hotel — fine dining with views across the Old Course, a feast for both palate and soul.
Day 3 – Saturday, 2nd May 2026
Kingsbarns & Culinary Adventure
Today, we step onto hallowed turf: Kingsbarns Golf Links. Tee-off at 09:00.
The course unfurls along two miles of rugged North Sea coastline, where every hole could be a postcard, and every shot demands courage. Few places on earth make you feel so alive with a club in your hands.
As the sun sets, we gather at Rogue in St Andrews — a restaurant of bold flavours, vibrant atmosphere, and the perfect setting for another night of stories, toasts, and camaraderie.
Day 4 – Sunday, 3rd May 2026
Farewell to St Andrews
A lazy morning, no alarms needed. A big fry-up at Rusacks, laughter spilling across the table as we relive the best shots — and the worst swings — of the trip.
Late morning strolls, maybe a final pint overlooking the Old Course.
Departure from Edinburgh at 12:50, hearts full, friendships stronger, memories etched forever.
The Spirit of the Trip
This is more than golf. It’s eight great mates, in their 40s and 50s, escaping the routine of life and rediscovering joy together. It’s linksland winds in our faces, whisky warming our bellies, stories told and retold with laughter that echoes into the night.
Scotland will give us its beauty, its history, its world-famous courses. But the greatest treasure will be the time we share, shoulder to shoulder, playing the game we love in the company that makes it unforgettable.
